Every bounce makes the ball bigger
The ball grows 7% bigger with every bounce until it fills the whole shape.
How it works
The ball starts small and bounces inside a circle. Each bounce multiplies its radius by 1.07, so growth is exponential: slow at first, then very fast. When the ball is too big to move, the video ends and loops.
Questions
- Why does it seem to speed up at the end?
- Growth compounds. A 7% increase on a bigger ball is a bigger jump, so the last few bounces change the size far more than the first ones.
- Is this real physics or an animation?
- It is a physics simulation. Collisions are computed 60 times per second from gravity, velocity and bounce rules, then drawn. Nothing is hand-animated.
- Will it look the same every time?
- Yes. Each video uses a fixed random seed, so the same run plays identically every time, on this site and in the video.
